Singapore is a city-state that has built something remarkable out of very little land and very few natural resources. World-class architecture, extraordinary food diversity — Chinese, Malay, Indian and Western traditions co-existing within blocks of each other — and a park and garden system that makes it one of the greenest cities in Asia.
Day One: Marina Bay and the Skyline
Arrival at Changi Airport, consistently rated the world’s best. Transfer to your Marina Bay hotel with views across the bay to the Merlion and the three towers of Marina Bay Sands. The afternoon explores the waterfront on foot before the Gardens by the Bay Cloud Forest and Flower Dome, two climate-controlled conservatories housing thousands of plant species from around the world. The Supertree Grove light show at night closes the first day.
Day Two: Cultural Districts
Chinatown in the morning — the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and the Chinatown Heritage Centre — followed by Little India and the Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple. Lunch at a Hawker Centre (Singapore’s open-air food courts, some with Michelin stars) is an essential experience. The afternoon explores the Colonial District: Raffles Hotel, the National Museum and Fort Canning Park.
Days Three & Four: Sentosa and Departure
The resort island of Sentosa is connected to the mainland by cable car, monorail and a pedestrian bridge. Universal Studios Singapore, Palawan Beach and the S.E.A. Aquarium fill the third day. A final morning at the Night Safari is available as an early departure option before the airport transfer.
